We are excited about the start of the 2017-2018 school year!
Please make your plans to attend our annual Parent Curriculum night at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13. Parents will have a chance to meet their children's teachers, learn about classroom expectations and curriculum, and ask questions. Parents will also have an opportunity to meet the administrative team and hear about our active schedule of PTA events. I look forward to seeing you there!
We are working to make student drop-off and pick-up run as smoothly as possible. Supervision for students begins at 7:45 a.m. and we encourage parents to allow plenty of time to complete the process before the bell rings. We ask that you pull your car forward as far as possible into the green stripped pavement area before allowing your children to get out of the vehicle. Please remember that the drop-off lane is for students who are able to get out of the car on the right side on their own. Please do not leave your car unattended in the drop-off lane.
All the children at Culver School are excited to use the new Early Childhood Park. Work on the playground is complete, but the grass, plants, and trees need just a little more time to grow. The park will open on Wednesday, September 6, at 9:00 a.m. There will be a short opening ceremony, so please stop by if you have time.
We will need everyone's help in keeping the park safe and in beautiful condition. It would be great if you would contact the Culver office (during the week) or the Niles Police Department (holidays and weekends) if you notice any inappropriate activity.
I hope you enjoy a wonderful school year. Culver is a great place to learn and we are all available to assist in any way we can. Please feel free to contact the school at 847-966-9280 with any questions, concerns, or compliments.
See you soon,
