Culver Student Wins Essay Contest

A Culver School fourth grade student recently won the Niles Public Library "President for the Day” essay contest.

In her winning essay, Fiona wrote about her love of reading and books, and her desire to help the library repair and replace damaged books. “I would make a book drive to people who don’t have books and give them a library card to the library,” she wrote.

Fiona’s essay was selected from more than 100 submitted from Niles area schools and home-schooled children. As President for a Day, Fiona received the key to the library, created a special library display of her favorite books and videos, and selected a movie for family movie night.

Congratulations to Fiona, we are very proud of you!
