Culver PTA: Where Every Child Counts

At Culver PTA, we align with Illinois PTA and National PTA efforts to make school amazing for every child! Here is what we focus on and examples of what we have been up to. 

 

  • Supporting Our Kids: Partnering with parents, teachers and staff on fantastic programs that help students thrive. Each year, we make sure every child receives a free book to enjoy over spring break, or we stock classrooms with books that inspire reading all year long. We also host a Scholastic Book Fair to ignite a lifelong love of reading!
     
  • Bringing Families and Schools Together: Creating connections between parents, teachers and staff to make learning a team effort. The last two years, we participated in the PTA Reflections National contest where our kids ranked top in region and sometimes state.
     
  • Raising Awareness: Bringing attention to important causes and rallying our community to create positive change for our kids. In 2024, we empowered students to give back by designing spirit wear that raised funds for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. In 2025, we proudly supported our school’s neurodivergent program. This year, we are championing Wright-Way Rescue, an animal rescue service in Morton Grove, to make a difference in the lives of both animals and families.
     
  • Engaging the Community: Inspiring everyone to participate in fun and meaningful activities that benefit our students. We actively connect local businesses and the Culver community through various initiatives. From hosting monthly diner nights to offering opportunities for local businesses to be part of our fundraisers, we create a win-win—supporting local businesses while the PTA receives a portion of the sales. Join us as we work together to make education extraordinary and create memorable experiences for our kids! Your membership fee, participation and attendance in our events makes all this possible! Whether it’s a donation, an hour of your time, ideas or feedback at our monthly meetings.

PTA meetings take place in person in the Culver Conference Room at 6:00 PM. To ensure a productive and well-organized discussion, we kindly ask that any topics be submitted to the PTA in advance of the meeting so they can be added to the agenda. This helps us come fully prepared and make the most of our time together.
